MOBO award winner to play the Cavern

Liverpool’s rising star Esco Williams is to play the Cavern this Thursday as part of our monthly DAVE MONKS PRESENTS night in conjunction with BBC Radio Merseyside. Esco has just released his first single – “The New Challenger”

Esco Williams – the “Soul Powered Nerd” is an ever changing dynamic vocalist/Singer/Songwriter whose evocative voice hits erogenous tones with skilful mastery and playful exuberance. Esco’s vocals dig deep into the souls of listeners providing a rich R’n’b/Soul experience from a different perspective. Since creeping into music at 17years old, the mild mannered Liverpool geek has made a lot of noise. Be it as part of the Sense of Sound Choir, being play listed on BBC Radio 1Xtra, FLAVA and AKA TV, Performing with such artists as the Hip-Hop legend, The RZA, the conscious DEAD PREZ or touring with Smooth Jazz icon Brian Culbertson. Esco’s pulsating form and captivating presence is reminiscent of Aloe Blacc, Al Green, Music Soulchild and Cee-Lo Green, yet his energy and performance is that of a rock star with maximum swagger.
