Originally from Liverpool, Howie has lived in Bournemouth since 1979.
After three years in The King’s Regiment Military Band, Howie has performed all over the world in Rock, Jazz and R&B bands, as well as leading his own band for many years.
He formed Howie Casey and The Seniors and it was this Liverpool band in 1960 that started the connection between Liverpool and Hamburg, Germany. The Seniors were also the first Liverpool rock ’n’ roll band to record with a major label (Fontana). In Hamburg in 1960 The Seniors jammed regularly with The Beatles and also had Stuart Sutcliffe as part of the band.
Howie has performed on albums such as Band On The Run, Wings At The Speed Of Sound, Back To The Egg, Wings Over America.
He also appeared on albums with ABC, Marc Bolan, PAL, Elkie Brooks, John Entwhistle, Cliff Richard, The Who, Quadrophenia, Tommy and countless recording sessions.
Howie returns to International Beatleweek after performing in the stunning show Paul McCartney – A Retrospective last year. Howie joins the all-star cast of With A Little Help From My Friends – The Boys Who Knew The Lads at Royal Court Theatre Monday and you can catch his interview at the Convention on Sunday.
