The Rookles

You should definitely listen to band’s original songs like “I Follow You Girl”, “The Ballad” or “Lost The Way” to find out why The Rookles are called Polish Beatles from Otwock!

Formed back in 2011, The Rookles are among the first Polish beatlesque bands of young generation. Founded by childhood friends and long-time Beatles fans, the band writes their own Beatles-inspired material, as well as plays many Fab Four classics from 1966-1969. They also specialize in playing Hamburg/Cavern-era material.

Since their first concert, the band achieved numerous awards and successes, with headlining the Beatlemania Festival in Warsaw, appearing in Polish television and radio, among others. They are referred to as “Polish Beatles” due to their love to British 60s popular music. 2015 is the year of releasing their debut LP.
The Rookles are appreciated for their melodic compositions, vocal harmonies and on stage unique energy & beatlesque humor.

Watching The Rookles live is a fascinating experience. They are filled with energy and are giving their best, dancing on stage and interacting with the audience that always sings their lyrics in the middle of the gig. Just like it was with The Beatles in the beginnings of their career.

Hubert, main Rookles vocalist, had the privilege to meet Paul McCartney in person during Macca’s gig in Warsaw. Hubert gave Paul a video in which he – a 5-year-old – is impersonating Paul in popular TV show. Most of all, Hubert gave band’s EP as a gift to Paul, so one can say that even Macca had an opportunity to listen to the band.
Band consists of Hubert Gawronski (guitar/vocals), Maciek Samul (bass/vocals), Piotrek Szczegielniak (guitar/vocals) and Kamil Sedek (drums).
