Akul Kakitapalli, Artist Name ‘INKiD’, is a 19-year-old Indian-Californian Musician and Electronic Producer currently based in Liverpool. INKid is inspired by Hyper-pop and R&B fusions which is prevalent in his upbeat and addictive productions. This contrast allows for an open conversation surrounding male mental health and the effects of a broken heart through a favoured medium.
The Aphrodites
The Aphrodites are a 5 piece alternative pop band based in Liverpool. With upbeat music and anecdotal lyrics, The Aphrodites just want to have fun. Inspired by artists such as Alabama Shakes and Saint Blonde, The Aphrodites bring a strong rhyme section and powerful vocals to the Cavern Stage.
Flo Delo
Flo Delo is a 21-year-old contemporary R&B artist from South London, inspired by artists like Jorja Smith, Olivia Dean, Sasha Keable, Sophie Faith and Eloise. She is seen to stay true to her roots with her prominent London accent; her music remains honest and emotive. Letting you in on her vulnerable life stories and experiences mainly centred around growing up, relationships, heartbreak, love and loss. You can always count on her to provide the feels.
Famously founded by Sir Paul McCartney in 1996, The Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) is a world-leading centre of excellence for the training of those who make performance possible. An international community of performers, creatives, technicians, filmmakers and business people who learn by working with industry partners on full productions and projects in the heart of the City.
LIPA will host an open showcase event at The Cavern Club every month. Organised by students, featuring students but open to everyone, the LIPA Showcase Social will be an opportunity to network, socialise and experience original music from the Institute’s emerging talent on Liverpool’s most prestigious stage.
