The Cavern Club Live Lounge

Legendary band, The Zombies return to The Cavern Club on the final day of Eurovision Week to celebrate the release of their brand new album.

The Zombies are a British rock band formed in the early 1960s in St Albans and led by keyboardist and vocalist Rod Argent and vocalist Colin Blunstone. The group had a British and American hit in 1964 with “She’s Not There”.

Following the band’s initial success in the beat group boom of the mid-’60s, they gained a cult-following surrounding their 1968 psychedelic album “Odessey & Oracle.” The album was recorded at EMI Studios (now Abbey Road Studios) where The Beatles had recently completed “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” but the album wasn’t released until nearly a year later.

Initially ignored by their US label CBS, the album was picked up by staff producer Al Kooper (who famously played keys on Like A Rolling Stone and many other legendary Dylan tracks). The album went to #3 in the USA off the back of its single #1 single “Time of the Season.”

Rod and Colin went on to work together and separately in other bands and solo projects but reunited as The Zombies in 2004 and have been active ever since, including a brand new album in 2023  called “Different Game” available to order as part of your ticket!
