How do I get a gig at the Cavern?
The Cavern is the most famous club in the world and we receive in excess of 150 emails and requests a week from bands from all over the world wishing to play this historic venue. For many, it is a pilgrimage almost, one of the iconic venues that a band simply has to play during their career. In an ideal world we would fulfil all of these bands ambitions, but that is obviously not possible. We have a very structured format for playing the Cavern with the three stages offering different options. Information on how to play the Cavern can be found here.
Are you hiring?
Experienced bar staff are always welcome to apply to the Cavern. You can fill out a job enquiry form online here. Should any vacancies arise we will contact successful applicants.

No, but food is served from 12pm daily at the Cavern Restaurant (located directly opposite The Cavern club on Mathew Street).
Where can I park?
If you are travelling by car, parking is available at Q-Park Liverpool ONE just 5 minutes’ walk from the Cavern Club. There is also limited pay and display parking in nearby on North John Street and Victoria Street.
Is this the original Cavern?
The Cavern currently resides at 10 Mathew St. which is the same address it held when opening in 1957. Contrary to popular belief the Cavern Club today is on the same side of the street as when it originally opened. Unfortunately, due to a decision by the local council the Cavern was torn down in the 70’s and was built again in the 80’s using the same design and most of the original bricks.
There was a point in the 70’s when the Cavern moved across the road and the Cavern sign was put above the club now known as Erics. While the Cavern was only open for 18 months across the road the sign remained there until the 90s. This has caused a lot of confusion regarding the location of the “original” Cavern. If you are interested in knowing more about the Cavern please visit our History section for more information.
